Do you have T5 or T8 tube lighting on your premises?

The ban on selling these tubes comes into force today.

The time has come, and today (1 September), the ban on selling all T5 and T8 fluorescent and compact fluorescent tubes (CFL) comes into force as part of their phase-out in accordance with the European Commission’s ecodesign and RoHS directives. The reason? To remove the most energy resource-demanding products from the market and the use of environmentally hazardous mercury.

A lighting survey from Sircle can help you identify where these bulbs are on your property so you can take the necessary steps to replace them as and when the time comes. At the same time, our experienced surveyors will accurately assess and record the suitability of all existing lighting for the jobs performed in each workspace, reducing any potential risk to individuals caused by poor visibility and ensuring you remain compliant with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992.
