Schematic and Isometric Creations
Creating usable and accessible drawings
What are Schematic and Isometric Creations?
A schematic is a 2-dimensional graphical representation of a system using standardised symbols and simple lines to clearly communicate a particular system’s core function and component makeup.
Schematics can represent almost any manner of MEP system in an accessible way, from industrial heating plants to standard lighting installations.
They are often used for system maintenance/repair, troubleshooting and reconfiguration feasibility, although they are invariably useful to anyone needing to understand how a particular system functions.
An Isometric is a method of drawing which can be used for things like schematics and system detailing, with the end result being in 3D. They are useful when a system has many layers, i.e. vertically or changes level/floor level, as 3D allows them to be shown much easier and clearer.
